Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer, regulatory, and third-party audits, including coordination and closure of corrective actions
  • Plan, conduct, and report internal audits; assign and track corrective and preventive actions
  • Support customer-required quality activities such as PPAP, PFMEA, and process flow documentation
  • Participate in and support engineering investigations and quality-related root cause analysis activities
  • Develop and deliver quality-related training for employees as required
  • Administer and maintain the stamp control process
  • Maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and oversee supplier qualification activities
  • Monitor supplier performance, manage supplier audits, and track supplier nonconformances
  • Process and manage nonconforming material reports (NCMRs), including supplier-related issues
  • Supervise quality control and inspection activities to meet production, cost of quality, and safety objectives
  • Ensure quality requirements are met for raw materials, work-in-process, outside processing, and finished products
  • Provide day-to-day work direction and technical guidance to inspection staff
  • Support contract review activities, including review of quality clauses and customer-specific requirements
  • Lead and support quality-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of departmental processes, procedures, and performance metrics
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience in aerospace quality or a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience providing technical leadership or work direction within a quality or inspection function
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements
  • Strong understanding of quality tools, including SPC, MSA, Gage R&R, and Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience performing or supporting PFMEA and production process flow charts
  • Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification or practical experience
  • Familiarity with customer and regulatory requirements, including FAR Part 21 and FAR 145
  • Experience with technical report writing and customer communications
  • Background in aircraft or aerospace component testing, teardown, or failure analysis
